So I have reset the transmitter to default factory mode. And I have tried binding the two multiple times but they won't pick up eachother's signals. What could be the cause of this and how can I get them to bind???

Sorry to be a jerk, but are you following the procedure exactly? I was screwing this up last week until I went back to the Traxxas support FAQs!

yeah i dont get it either when its says both LED turns green when you get it right. but when i turn it off and turn it back on they are bind, i know its strange but it happen to me. i also heard that touching both antenna while binding helps.
Yep I did it directly from that page. Set-turn on radio - set- turn on receiver. And they both just blink red
