Yeah it was! Dead on into a curb, I was surprised at how nothing else broke, and a great excuse to dye it black!

Parts are in tomorrow can't wait for the build parts!

Parts are in! Only had two paddles until next week so I left those at the lhs. Haven't got a new chassis yet either, but couldn't wait to install the parts lol

Didn't know where to start so decided on the front!

At this point, wish I had the new chassis and dyed black!

Two hours and 4 cold ones it is together! Forgot to pick up the y-split plug for the motor fan, probably get one tomorrow

3s just makes this thing wild! Can't wait to try it tomorrow in the light, I also geared down to a 10 tooth while I was in there

Oh yeah and mounted the custom studded tires. I loaded the glue due to the extra force of the tacs shooting outwards. Those will be tested tomorrow too on some ice!

So today head out to the lhs, got the servo extender and made it work with the motor fan, now time to drive home and try 3s and new parts for the first time right? Wrong! Two runs at 3/4 throttle and it loses power to the wheels. After inspection seemed the spur was finally stripped, so I put the spaire I bought. Then it wouldn't line up, the bearing in my motor was toast!

Another trip to the lhs and got myself a bearing and running again! This time tested it in the parking lot to make sure it was 100 %

Here is what was left of the bearing

Cleaned the motor too now it runs awesome! 3s is wild, wheelies on snow, and while moving even on an 10 or 11 tooth (I forget) my 2s pack were like training mode lol

So I was bored this morning, and after gettin my motor bearing replaced I wanted to keep as much snow out as possible. My lhs doesn't carry the outerwears cover, and I don't want to wait 2-3 weeks for shipping, so I made my own up for now!

With the roof scoop and -5 temps and motor/esc fans, should be good without over heating!

Testing it out shortly!

Cleaned it up a little more, I can change batteries and turn the esc on/off no problem

Also with the extra plastic, quickly rigged up an air deflector for the scoop, it's not pretty but should help too!

That should work a treat but when the summer comes use an outerwear shroud or have nothing on it to let as much cool air in as possible

Yeah when the summer hits i plan to have the outerwears shroud! To keep rocks and stuff out!! Thanks man!! It worked great!!
One full 3s pack through snow and gravel. Compared to no shroud, stopped about 99.5 percent of the snow lol.

If you can hold your hand on the motor for over 30 seconds its all good dude.get a temp gun of ebay they are cheap but very good

30 seconds no problem! Ahh eBay!thanks man ill look into it!

After another full 3s 6400 probably full throttle 75% of the time, not hot at all!

Haha yeah really! If only I had more time....haha

On lunch today ripped through the 2s 5800mah and the 3s 6400. After the run took off the heat sink and checked motor, it was not hot at all. Been the warmest so far today too at +5!

So I tried a speed run tonight on 3s, with the geared down 10 tooth spur. The GPS app is upper accurate as I have checked it with my truck speedo.

First run gave me this,

But got a little squirly because it was dark lol. Knew it had more in it, 2nd run got this!

68.6!

After runs motor was nice and cool, started to ramp the hard packed snow banks and ended up with this

Have a Spair for now but am looking into my options!

Yupp stock spur, 10 tooth pinion 3s, I have a feeling I could of got it to 70, will try tomorrow

Thats pretty fast as it is. The box calls for 35+ on 3s and stock gearings with is 11/54. Im not sure you will get too much more. 70 is feasible goal though.

Yeah I'm happy with what it is! Just 70 would be good to hit on this gearing!

Had to do something about the body posts coming through on the back. This will work for now until I can decide on a body!

Also found this breathable foam, more less to keep rocks out while this snow is melting. Doesn't look pretty, but sometimes it's gotta be function>form! Worked great, kept everything out and motor temps were good!

Mine runs 40 ish on 2s and about 60mph on 3s but i am running 17t pinion and 54t spur with untaped trenchers

A very respectable speed with the gearing you're running. 68km/h ＝ 42mph which is more than fast Enough to break several parts at once! Sounds like you're having some good fun!

Fun yesterday stopped with another broken cvd, luckily still have a few spairs kicking around.

Had an idea last night, found two peices of Velcro and mounted the body over the bolts. Holds sturdy, even with roll overs with two peices. Takes 2 seconds now to pop the body off! Cut a small section out of the back window, didn't effect the strength of the body much, and with my esc turned around now it's a breeze to turn on! Main reason though was to let that fan suck in even more air from right above!

Gave the basher body a quick paint again, blacked out look this time

Nice trick with the cool air flow dude mine has vent in to keep my setup cool as a cucumber and when you upgrade your driveshafts what ones are you going for????..............peace
