How many bearings Slash 4x4 vs Stampede 4x4?
I'm kind of confused:
Stampede 4x4 has 21 bearings:
5114 | 5x8x2.5 | 4 pcs
5116 | 5x11x4 | 7 pcs
5117 | 6x12x4 | 2 pcs
5118 | 8x16x5 | 2 pcs
5119 | 10x15x4 | 5 pcs
5120 | 12x18x4 | 1 pcs
Is this correct?
Does the Slash 4x4 has exactely the same bearings?
So why does the Slash 4x4 bearing Kit only count 20 bearings and the Pede Kit is 21?

Seems as in the one bearing for the Slipper is missing.
I'm kind of confused.
There is only 20 in a pede. Not sure if the center diff would make a difference
Nope the Stock P4de has 21 Bearings.

I think the bearing count changes if you have a center diff, there's a bearing in the center of the spur gear with the slipper where the gear on the diff version bolts directly to the diff housing
Has anyone found any real wheel bearings that can take a lot of daily punishment?
I've systematically eliminated weak points like driveshafts, wheels, etc. but don't get much life out of the rear wheel bearings as I run 3S Lipo on a short track every day so there's a lot of rear wheel spin in cornering fast and accelerating out of turns. I've tried Traxxas and AKA so far but neither seem to last long. The big bearings on the front wheels seem to last forever. I wish someone would make a rear hub that took bigger bearings.
I think there are two ways to go:
If you have the money, Boca Bearings are probably the best. (Stainless Steel with Ceramic Balls)
Or you buy the cheapest bearing you can get an replace them more often.
