LCG Chassis'

Which LCG chassis do you think is the best...If you can provide links that would be awesome. I'm looking into turning my basher into a racer.

The STRC chassis is supposed to be good.

I used the Traxxas Rally chassis to convert mine to LCG. Seems to handle just as good as the STRC. Bottom of the chassis
is a little under an inch off the ground. It can be adjusted. Just an idea.

I run the STRC LCG and its great. And you will get a lot for your money. The Traxxas LCG is more expensive if you add an aluminum motor mount, soon or later you will. Another point is the stiffness of the STRC LCG that makes the drivetrain runs free... Ok, its a little bit heavier than the Traxxas chassis, but the weight is where it has to be... next to the ground!

I would upgrade the motor mount to King Headz, it uses the 10x19 bearing.

I'm not 100% sure. I just changed the bumpers and body mounts from one of my trucks to one of my rallys. The motor mount looks different, along with parts 7430 & 7429. I'll see if I can write a list up if there is anything I'm missing. I'm completely surprised with how well this truck handles now. I actually like it better than my scte. Needs a little tuning though. Should be be perfect after that.

There is also the Team RCE and SSC.
I personally use the STRC chassis and love it.
I am sure the others are super nice as well but for the price made my decision for me.

Yes the motor mount is different for the LCG chassis, sorry I left it kinda open.

I was going to upgrade to a king headz on my ultimate LCG 4x4, but I decided to see how the new plastic one would hold up.

The aluminum plate secures to the plastic mount very well. I haven't had any issues with slippage/movement.

Debris in the new chassis doesn't get in and on the motor mount nearly as much. It settles down in the chassis much more. So the mount itself, bearing, and insides stay much cleaner. I check it every couple runs, and everything's still great. I can't say the same for the old 4x4.

I'm sure i'll get the king headz eventually. But for me, the LCG stock one is holding up much better than the old one ever did.
