Ok. My turn for some advise

So. My buddies came up with a ridiculous Idea but I think I will have the best chance.
His idea is a demolition derby for rc cars.
Rules are have to move on own power and if flipped over by another rc then game over. If you flip over on your own (turning) then your still in. 5-10 dollar buy in. No reinforcements only can buy bolt on parts.
I've been thinking about it and I know that I'm the only one that has a summit out of all of us and they mainly have 2x4 and 4x4 slashes and smaller.

It's been eating at me and i keep thinking that I may have a killer chance cuz of the electric lockers and size.
I was thinking of dropping it as low as possible stock wheels and tires motors and batteries. I also was thinking rpm bumper mounts and Tbr bumpers and a ARM skidds for protection. And a lot of duct tape on the corners and sides of the inside of the body. I also thought about a roll cage but I really dont want to spend a lot of money.

What do all of you think I can do to make it so that I can win.

^ I'm in the same boat. I'd like to see it done with somthing cheaper, like brushed pedes. Fun idea though. Good luck if you try it!

Lol I thought about that but something I told my self when my daughter was born is that I'm not going to let money rule my life. Its part of getting out of a bad relationship where money ruled our life and when we went separate ways and the lil one was born it was a saying I live by now. Yeah it may take a lot to fix but was it worth the fun? I've gone threw 13 motors in my 1-1 and that's all worth the fun and memories.

IMO, its not a fair deal at all. Thats like putting a monster truck in a normal crash up derby. The summit will literally drive OVER a slash and, in reality, wont do much damage A slash on slash impact would be worse IMO than a slash on summit impact. The tires will actually protect the car you hit.

If I were your buddies, I wouldnt want to let you in on the game unless you run a 1/10. It only makes sense if its a reasonably level playing field. Either way, film it. I want to see.

I have to agree, do you really want to take the risk with your summit. Well if you are dead set on doing it consider a few things, no matter how low you drop your summit they are still going to be smaller, with lower center of gravity. One good run at you side ways they will get under you enough to flip you easy. You running at them is no good either you will go over top & quite possibly flip in the process. think of it as David vs Galyth you bigger, stronger, & badder but not unbeatable. Still if your still set to do it drop your summit as low as you can consider weighted bead locks for rims & find a way to drop the bumpers even lower so you can get it under them, may take some tricked out modding but if you can do that you stand a chance..... Oh & video tape it we all want to see that.
Don't take it out unless your going to use it.

I have my $200 Summit lowered, would that be low enough for your Derby?

I don't think you should put your summit in. If you are, just keep it stock.
