My brand new Mamba Monster Rally

After work tonight I picked up a 1/10 Rally... Brought it home, and tore it apart.. popped in the Mamba Monster ESC and 2200kv motor, and swapped out the stock shock caps.. I was reading about putting this setup in the slash and you had to either mod the stock radio box or buy the stampede one.. well with the LCG chassis the radio box screws into existing holes in the front of the chassis.. (forgive me if this is already posted)

    some photos:

I havent ran it yet.. Ill just upgrade as it breaks... tearing it apart is more fun that driving it anyways.

are those Revo shocks on your in the photos? They bolt right on? What springs are you running? I have a stock E-Revo Brushless that i used as the donor for the motor and ESC. I have no problem stealing more parts from it.

Put the revo slipper in there. I had the same set up and the stocker didn't like the power so much.... It's fun though!

Yeah, they are revo suspensions, and i made it even lower by putting two more piston shocks on each one of them. the springs are from slayer but its a bit stiff, very bumpy. going to try the XO-1 springs soon. shock towers are from XO-1 too along with the Differentials.

HOLY SCHNIKES! Were you emotionally disturbed as a child? Now I mean that in the nicest possible way...

Seriously, I can't believe the MM just dropped in like that. Have you run it yet?

The 2200kv is a beast. You can gear that thing to the moon. It works best on 4S and above.

I wonder if my Castle 1800kv motor would fit? Traxxas designed the rally to be able to drop either the 2650 or 2200 in with no chassis mod's. Unlike the older chassis it required a bit of dremel work to get them in.

    what 4s battery fits???

I noticed 2 - 2S 5000mah hardpacks fit in the battery tray on thier side.. I just dont know how I can secure them in there.. Maybe dremel 2 slits in the chassis and use some velcro straps

Hey Racer83, so you moved the receiver box out of the way, installed the motor and then positioned the MMM? Sounds like the fix I've been looking for only I'll be using a MMP. I have a Castle 1800kv motor that is looking for a home and I wondered how it would fit and the can is probably about the same size as the 2200kv.
