I'm sure at the least you would need upper and lower arms, axles, steering linkage, bumpers, body posts,tires/wheels...and possibly different shocks.
Id almost bet it would be easier to just sell the Summit and buy a Rally Car to start with.

A RC car with road rash...is a happy RC car.
The only way to be 100% sure is to compare the parts list and exploded views.
Arms
Axles
Rods
Rockers
Front bumper (Boss doesn't have a rear)
Possibly just the front body mount (I think the rear mount is the same)
Rear body posts
Front body posts
Front skid plate
Wheels
Shock springs
Body
Shocks have a travel limiter in the Boss, but you can run the Summit shocks with the shorter springs and be fine.
I suggest getting a tire different than stock... almost no traction; but if you want a set, PM me.
All of that being said... I have maybe 20 runs in 2 years on my Boss... countless (as in 100's) of runs on my MERV. The MERV is a lot like the Summit... more fun to operate in my opinion.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
I agree with you Jimmie.
I considered getting the Ken Block rally car instead of my Summit.
I'm sure glad I didn't.
I can drive the Summit anywhere the KB can go... But the KB couldn't go even half the places that the Summit can.

if you go to do it i have the wheels /drive shaft/ body post / PUSHRODS &ROCKERS
The boss drive line is longer. The shafts are longer than the summit's. Of course you don't need any drive line tweaks as long as you're using the same driveline (transmission, diffs, shafts).
I read somewhere... On the boss 302 to mini summit thread where there was tons of red thread lock and shredded transmission gears where found.
Also; the transmission, diffs, and drive shafts are all 100% the exact same across all 16ths.
There has only been 3 transmissions destroyed in the 3 years I have been watching the 16ths forum. All of those were due to bearings going bad, not the gears themselves.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
Unless your making this change for the fun, build project it is, I wouldn't make this change. Of the 1/16 traxxas trucks. The mini summit is the best!
But if you want a fun project, go fo it. just be prepared to turn it back to a summit when your not happy with performance.
Good luck!

I got from post #10 on this thread:
http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...in-to-a-summit
I am new to the traxxas forum so i havent replied to any of your much apreciated posts
So thank all of you for answering me so fast
I did compare my exploded views and i just wanted a confirmation and a little help
And this was more of a project then permanent
Like for summer i would have the mustang and for winter and such the mini summit
I also have the parts to convert it to a merv
I like it to be as versitile as it can
But that comes to a price, 150$ according to my calculations
I was also wondering about shock oil and shocks upgrade
