    "Clash 1"

This is a short version of my more comprehensive build thread over at URC.

I was inspired by a rather amazing builder called Topolino in Brazil and in particular this thread and this vehicle.

So "CLASH1" (merge of class 1 and slash) was born. I started with the SC8 roll cage:

Then I added some DIY panels made from the lids of plastic storage boxes that cost me 1p each (that's like 1 cent in US money):

The I added some 2.8" Pro-Line Badlands into the equation:

    Then I added a Pro-Line SC interior:

The covered the panels in Matte black vinyl:

Then it was on to trimming, Painting and fitting a Pro-Line Undertray:

Followed by a headlight mounting unit and enclosure/cowling for the front end:

and have now redesigned the engine cowl for the rear so it look like this:

So kinda all looks like this at present:

There is still work to do and then final clean and re-assembly which will include stuff like; an RPM transmission, roof lights, more detailing and body work but exactly what form and how long this will all take remains to be seen.

If you want to know more take a look at the original thread or ask questions.

Thought you guys might like to see whre this is up to now.

Going to try and get the last few bits painted - the green dirt shield you can see under the hood and at the rear and the "clear" body mount parts). Also need to get 9V battery connector and switch to solder up the lights. I've got some red rears but no light canisters at present so unless I can get something they will have to wait.

I also managed to pick up some 2nd hand TEKNO rear drive shafts from ebay so when I redo the rear suspension I'll fit those as well.

    More Vids:

    And breakages and mods:

Had to drill out the lower hole on the caster blocks to take the larger rear hinge pins you use on the JANG mod. Also had to take a little off the arms thickness at the end to prevent binding.

Hope to do more testing runs today, hopefully some more action in the vids.

I've got some time off and enjoying running the Ckash , although it is getting hammered. More on that in a later post and but mainly

For now a short video I rustled up today whilst out. I was like a kid in a candy shop. I was checking out these babies:

    Clash 1 - Bash 1 - Part 1

Well I took Clash 1 out for a proper bash and filmed out on my new Panasonic HD camera (HX-WA2). This is the first little video.

As you will see in later vids the main structure really held up well , but there were some casualties as you will see later.
