    Question Recommended Aluminum upgrades

I recently crashed my t-maxx and broke A-Arms and turnbuckles and axle carriers and fuel tank. now i am wanting to take the bashing down a notch but at the same time reinforce my truck to prevent future breaks, i am curious what should be upgraded to aluminum and what shouldn't be

Are their parts Lightweight? I want strength without to much loss in power. And would all up-gradable parts be recomended or just bulkheads and main pieces that connect directly to chassis?

No not everything. Bulkheads, chassis braces and maybe shock towers. You want to have flex some of the parts.

Get RPM skid plates. They are bullet proof and less than half the cost of aluminum.

Aluminum down the middle(bulks & chassis braces) & plastic on the corners is good for bashing.

Aluminum skids bend easily, the RPM wear plates are super tough & well worth the price.

The 2 best axle carriers are Tekno & RD Racing.

For arms RPM are hard to beat. Same with Lunsford Ti turnbuckles.

While you have it apart now is the opportune time to do the Ofna fuel tank mod to your truck & ditch the broken stocker, get a 6V hump pack as you have to pull the stock battery box to make room for the new tank.

well i would rather buy a new fuel tank now and again then have to expose my hump pack and receiver to water or other debris. i will definitely be putting on the rpm A-Arms and plates i didnt think about skid plates tweaking. i will be slowly upgrading over next few weeks and will let any problems i find known for reference in case anyone else can use the information.

Ebay is probably the easiest cheapest way to go.
$36.00 for all four corners (just the arms themselves)

Well once i add the Axle carriers on all sides, it would be about the same as the prices I found buying, a rear end conversion kit, front end A-Arms, and an Axle carrier set.

The RX stays in the RX box, & most RX packs are rather well shrink wrapped up.
