Double orange springs in

Installed the double orange springs in the rear of the Summit last night my time. Makes a great difference, especially as i wound the adjustment up leaving about 3-4 rings of thread showing, doesn't really squat at all now and has a mean raked stance , glad i didn't go a stiffer rated spring!. Rebound is noticeably faster too. Now to install the top LED light bar!.

The Summit comes stock with double orange springs in the front so all you need to order is one (1) pair. The Traxxas part number is TRA5437.

I think the Summit should come with an assortment of springs of different stiffnessessess. For bashing, I think double orange all around is a great choice. I spun my threaded rings down to where the chassis can bottom out while almost bottoming out the suspension. For crawling though, that setup is way too stiff with not enough suspension travel.

There really are lots of different ways to tune a summit to it's different potentials

the best thing i ever did to my summit is remove the shock oil and put in diff oil i used 10,000 weight on stock springs best suspension ive ever had on my summit it works better than anything ive ever done with this truck

Thanks DayWalker...........Yes TRA5649 is the doulble orange springs (5.4 Rate) for the Summit. The 5437 is the single orange (3.2 Rate). Thanks for keeping me in check.

How can diff oil work better than shock oil, in a shock?

Im going to wind the rears down a bit i think, certainly sits up now..., could just adjust the fronts i suppose

if it's not tightened up, it will dive and squat real hard. Jumps will bottom out more to.

too bad the swing arms dont fit with the 2 speed tranny...
