    3S on Duratrax 3900kv??

I've kind of been thinking about buying a single 3S lipo.

I mean a 1/10 540 motor and ESC, both made by castle, in a 1/16, you'd naturally think its fine

    But I want opinions...

Looks to be a beefy ESC, but this is also the first I have heard of it.
I think, if I remember right, I was once told that if they only give a peak rating it is pretty safe to assume that the constant is half that. Using that information, I think we can assume that the constant is 50 amps.
That being said, I have a ********* with a 60 amp continuous rating that is fine on 2S with 23/50 gearing but overheats after about 10-15 minutes on 3S with the same gearing. Which may mean something, or nothing since I am comparing apples and oranges.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

Honestly, disregard this thread. I was content with a 2nd gen stampede on
    NiCD's doing 30 tops

I should be fine with being able to hit 55 with a 2S in a truck thats smaller than that pede..

****s gonna be plenty fast!!! It'll be here on Monday! I can't wait
