    batteries

so has anyone made there own batteries? iv been looking at some batteries online and it wouldnt be that hard with a solering gun and some wire and plugs. i looked into some 3.6 v 1200 mah batteries to set in parallel they would be about 2 inches shorter than the typical nimh6 cell stick. any thoughts? 4 bat 2+2= 7.2 v 4800 mah could make a 6 cell version with 7200 but wont fit in the merv battery holder

    Type of battery? Dimensions? Link?

    3.6v sounds like LiPo cells.

How good are your soldering skills and equipment.
You will want some pretty good stuff as you do not want much, if any, heat transfer to the battery.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

They are 3.6 v 1200 mah nimh rechargable iv messed with them by themselves in other equipment on the rig and they have a long life recharging like once a week for a couple yrs. they are used in lights. Soldering a battery im pretty good but boards i suck. What im going to do is try to run 2 batteries end to end with 2 more the same way but beside then bring the wires to one end then together. Reason is i know that 1 battery is never exactly the same so if a dead cell( 1 internal battery) is dead 3 bucks and bam back running i have to look back up the website i found the cheaper ones at but i wanna say 50 was a around165 to my front door. Im trying to stay nimh cause seems cheaper than lipo and a lil easier.

http://www.onlybatteries.com/showite...t1=60&uid=1906 this is one of the batteries iv been looking at. Yeah i agree with the heat especially since my revo is going to be a crawler but by my figure on these batteries i can build a 7.2v 6000mah pack for about 15 bucks which is a whole lot better than the 16 i paid for a 1200 mah pack.
