What kind of pics OG? I took pics of the case inside and out both sides with and with out motor plate. I have the STRC LCG kit on my Rusty and i had to modify the mounts because of the a arm mounts are separate from the case. I also have the Proline shock towers and had to modify the rear shock tower.

I didnt get to go racing tonight to report back on the 100k in my HR diff (keeping to the topic) due to me trying to switch out a gear case in a hours time. So ill have to report on that after Friday nights club races lol

I havent looked at your thread since you posted pics of the RPM trans case. It looks similar to the traxxas but with a metal motor mount. Correct?

Pretty much with the exception on the changeable A arm mounts. They are seperate from the case. It came with 0 degree and 3 degree mounts. It is defiantly more beefy and wouldve been a striaght forward install on a stock Rusty/Bandit/Slash 2wd but like i said i had to mod the STRC LCG to get it to bolt up and have everything stay where its supposed to.

Does any one have a good source to get these diffs? They seem to be out of stock everywhere.

Check Ebay, Liquid RC usually has them in stock.

Thanks, it's odd, before I posted I couldn't find it on eBay and Liquidrc had it out of stock, but now I can find it again.

Did ppl ever work out what size o-rings they are? FWIW mine is still totally leak free after building it with the sealed screws

I can't believe it's been 6 months since an update.

Well here goes, I opened up my transmission and diff, most of the fluid is still inside with maybe 10% leaked out. That's pretty good for the battery packs I put through it. O-rings look good, but cuts would be hard to see anyway.

I still don't know what size the replacement O-rings. I'll take mine to the hardware store and see if they have any.

Any updates? It seems like these don't really have a down side.

+2. What I'd like to get an idea of is how long of a period is the diff fluid good? As much as I like my ball diff, if the shelf life of a fluid filled diff is greater, I might make the switch myself.

I can't remember the last time I rebuilt the tranns and diff in my basher and the diff action is still like it was when I first put it together. Its been over a year of running 2.8 badlands on 3s with 50k fluid.

This is one of the best buys I've ever made. I own 3 of them now but only 2 are installed in a truck.

BTW, my hardware store did have replacement O rings but the sizes weren't labeled. You'll have to take the O rings to the store and match 'em up.

I just completed my Rustler build including the Hot Racing diff with RPM transmission case and couldn't be happier. Smoothest transmission ever. Everything fits like a well oiled machine.

I used new gears and boca bearings, synthetic T6 oil, and no leaks!

I love mine too! Best upgrade for any Traxxas 2wd truck. No issues with mine what so ever.

Do you have any idea how heavy that oil is in relation to the silicone oils that are rated by weight?

I used Rotella T-6 motor oil.....it's the latest generation fully synthetic oil for high compression diesel engines....I used it, because it has a number of anti-sludge and high shear ingredients in the additive package, and it is long lasting (rated at 15,000+ miles). It was just a hunch, really, and I couldn't be happier. The T-6 shouldn't leak out or ever wear, and the viscosity weight seamed to be in the neighborhood of 30k - 50k.

Steadyhand, are you using this oil in the sealed differential?
