If a larger screw will not work, I usually put a drop of super glue in the hole and thread it in. I also let the RC sit for a while (usually overnight) before I drive it again.
The best method in this case, however, is prevention.

Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
Lightly lube a screw, wipe off ALL excess put some structural epoxy like JB weld in the hole and "thread" the screw in. lube should prevent adhesive from adhearing to the screw making it removable after adhesive sets up. Just an idea.
Jimmy the threads came out when i unscrewed them to install a wheelie bar so in this case your funny aint so......

the way you fixed stripped holes in wood is to glue a tooth pick in the hole and break it off, I imagine this would work similarly well. You also could fill the hole with plastic epoxy and then redrill the hole.
Beware of the pre loctite applied screws as they seem to be the problem a thanks to the few for the replies.
