Extended Battery Hold Down

Seems no one has the 7426x Extended Hold Downs in stock. Got my new 3s from Spec Point and want to run them. Is there an aftermarket part or what are you guys using to secure them?

I ordered one from tower which is still on back order. In the mean time I lined the tray with Velcro and lined the bottom of the battery with Velcro. This withstood a whole day at the track with tons of crashes and the battery did not fall out once.

Which 3S did you get? I got the 4100 3S which is the same size as a 2S, It fits with no mods.

I got the 5400 50C so they are taller.

I feel your pain Nonno.....I want to do the rally lcg conversion on a slash but no one seems to have the parts in stock, not even Traxxas. Tower did say last week "early Jan."......but now the website says "on order". Any Traxxas employee care to chime in......pls

Get some pure tech battery straps from amain hobbies

I have it on order along with my chassis from Traxxas, no update on the shipment yet. I have just used thin nuts to shim up my existing one to fit my 5600mah 3s in it. A little cheesy but works just fine.

I finally got my battery extension a week before Christmas. It was on back order for the longest. Either they are slow in production or tons of people are ordering and hording them. LOL

You might have to get a little creative until you can get your feelers on the extension upgrade.

How does this work? Is that Velcro on the bottom to hold it in the tray, plus the straps?

Nvm, I looked them up on URC and I'll be ordering a set from toadzrc if they carry them.

i had them on my revo-e and it ripped right by the stetching part....no matter how tight you strap it its still wiggle side to side so i zip tie it to keep it in place.

Hmmm the plot thickens. In your Revo is the battery sitting on top the chassis? Mine are inside the compartment. Or is your lipo too big to fit in the battery bay?

Ok I see now from that angle. I used Velcro to keep my lipo's in place but I need a better idea.
