Slow to switch from low to high gear.

How fast should it switch from low to high gear?

It almost feels like there is a neutral in between.

Im doing this test on my bench, with the truck elevated.
Missing one tire and suspension arm, but that should do anything to the transmission from low to high.

I've locked both diff so i can see the tires turning.
Does it take longer time while it's elevated?

The from high to low it's instant.

Yep, there is a small gap between gears.

I see no reason why it should take longer than normal when it's off the ground. My Summit switchs really quick from low to high, and high to low. Are your batterys fully charged?

It's 2 5000mah lipos, so they should work fine.
Maybe it's just me, and that i use very low speed on my desk.

I made a video... but need to find time to upload it.

You know there is a reason why i'm waiting for a suspension arm... had a crash, but i think it's only the arm that broke.

It sounds like the sticky shift issue

If I'm not mistaken there is a small screw that will adjust the stiffness of the rod that engages and disengages the trany high and low. I would take the servo arm off and see if it moves freely. If not throw some lube in it and also check the servo. If its still sticky you can back that screw off a lil and will free it up.

If you look at the servo that switches it, the reason it takes longer to switch from low to high is it is pushing the rod into the gears so it can click in. When you go from high to low, it pulls it out thus it takes less time to switch from high to low, and longer to switch from low to high.

Agreed. It most likely is getting bound by the wires running around the transmission or if the shaft moves freely when unhooked from the trans shift servo linkage, it may be the servo. Just replaced mine lol

Also something to look at thanks to mdlopez I didn't take apart trans to do the adjustment. You could, to make sure no rust or crud is causing the detent ball to be hanging up. I burnt up one did the adjustment good since zero shift issues

Have you tried to put some lube on Kk the rod? If so have you tried backing that screw out?
It's not your servo. That is working just fine. And the adjustments appear to be right.
