    foc

I have an foc on the way and am wondering what are my options for failsafe. Can the opti just be disconnected from tranny and still provide undervoltage protection? I currently have the 27mhz transmitter and receiver and really wasnt ready to fork out money for transmitter but was eventually gonna get 2.4,setup. Uneasy about runaway trucks.

when you install FOC...your Opti-Drive are no longer needed. purpose for the opti-drive is to prevent stripping gear if you accidentally switch reverse while its moving forward. as for 2.4ghz TX/RX you can get them off ebay for $50 2 channel, you dont need 3 channel anymore since your reverse are out.

Thanks H. Do you know if the 2.4 systems have failsafes for low voltage?

2.4ghz have its own failsafe, when its out of range it shuts down to neutral.
