    Home made outerwear

I'm tight on money and didn't feel the need to pay $30 for an outerwear so I thought I might just make one myself. I just found some plasticky matrial and cut it to fit and then sewed some Velcro around the edges and glued some Velcro to the edges of my truck and it worked. It turned out better then I though it would. Only cost me $3 for the Velcro. Beats $30.

Sorry for the bad quality. Only have my mobile phone.

All of the pictures should be in the album.

    Tell me what you think?

Nice it probably breathes better than outer wears. I have outer wears and the only problem is that things get hot

I made my own as well awhile back. I found some material that seemed pretty similar to outerwears material, but just wasn't waterproof. It seems to work pretty well, but you do have to watch temps. Then I made one out of the plastic type screen door mesh. It works really well for everything except dust and water. Keeps the temps down and keeps the big stuff out of your truck.

A cheap trick I use is I fold up a plastic garbage bag and wrap it around my chassis and use safety pins to hold it in place. It works pretty good IMO and keeps snow off of my battery and the electronics. Today I tried using a towel instead but it made my truck run really hot even in 10 degree weather. The garbage bag doesn't heat up my truck though.
