VXL-3S and Velineon 3500KV Motor in Rally?

Has anyone tried the VXL-3S and Velineon 3500KV setup in a rally?
If you have, how did it go? is it worth it? are there better and more recommended options?

I have seen the combo put into a Summit... but that has a lot more room under the lid for the large ESC.

I run a 1/10 7700kv castle motor and a sct esc. I used the brushed motor mount or there are a few companies that make a big block mount. I love the speed this thing has. When it actually gets traction on full throttle starts it pulls wheelies, i did fry a rear diff but after rebuilding it and actually shimming it I have had no issues and it fits under any body I have used from a camaro body to the kyle bush truck body. I say go for it.

I have this combo from my Rustler VXL, but are broken.. but it seems if I put the ESC onto the rear body mounts it could fit.
