Look below at a few posts about trannys
Are those relatively easy to install
yes it is.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
I let my mom drive my mini summit today. At somepoint she slammed it into her car tire, and somehow seperated the front drive axle from the front transmission drive axle. So basically to fix it I had to tear down the front to the frame. I have never done this on the truck, and couldn't figure out how to remove the piece that the servo saver slides down onto. Ended up breaking the front bulkhead pulling it out. (later after putting everything back together I realized how it goes in,lol). Anyway, that was a lot of work replacing it all. I've since decided its too much work to tear everything down to get to both diff's just to lock them. I could have did it while I had the diff out but didn't as I was frustrated and just trying to get it back together.
Yeah I few days ago I snapped my frame; so I am going too have to take everything off and remount it![]()
Well it only took 30 mins to take apart, but took 2 1/2 hours to put back together.kept putting crap back on in wrong order. Wish there was a pic tutorial for replacing parts. I know theres the exploded diagrams, but that doesn't help much with the correct order.

Agreed......
Between my two 16ths I have torn it down enough times for basic maintenance that I am down to about 10-15 minutes to tear down, clean, refill, and reassemble.
Having a set of Bondhus ball drivers really speeds things up. I imagine I would have to tack on another 5 minutes or so if I was using stock tools.

Ive never had that happen on any truck or car i owned. Plus i havent tore down this one that far so went in blind. I usually just break arms or axles, but my moms trumped me.
I used to replace bulkheads on my old emaxx all the time and dont remember it being very much work
