    New R/C

What's up every1 so within the next week or 2 I'm going to be picking up another r/c but can't make up my mind cause there's so many different brands, types, and models, I've only been in the hobby since the beginning of Jan.2013 and my first choice was a slash 2wd 5803 which I upgraded to the vxl system, I kind of want 1 r/c for mostly racing and another w/ ridiculous power when I want it, maybe upgrade to the mamba monster on 1 of my soon to be 2 r/c cars, any suggestions would be appreciated, let's just say I'll probably be spending in the neighborhood of 1200-1400$ in the price range I'll also be picking up a few lipos, new charger, and aftermarket parts

On-road or off-road?? These two factors are your most important deciding factors!

If you want insanely high on-road speeds, and your price range, go for the XO-1..

If you want off-road, go for the E-maxx Brushless Edition or the E-revo Brushless Edition. Both come with the Mamba package.. 2200KV I think..

ERBE . Don't own one myself, but if you want insane power and speed, ERBE it is.

Erevo brushless. I've been driving mine on road more than off road lately.

Have you looked at the E-Maxx Brushless or E-Revo? Awesome power and speed. Love my Maxx...

the e revo is nice but I think if I was going to spend that much on it I'd probably rather get the 1/5th hpi 5sc flux for the same price

Is a 4x4 slash capable of being a good competitor in racing??? or would a 2wd be better

    Well,
    It depends

I like my 4x4 for racing
    But honestly I've never raced

But if you go 2wd put lcg on it
Or else you will have your own personal Marshall

You do want an ERBE, you just dont know it yet. I promise, if you get one and a few 2 or 3s lipos, you won't regret it for a second. 1/5 is more of a hassle than its worth IMO. For less money you can have just as much fun. For $1400 you could put together an awesome ERBE/lipo/charger/upgrade package and use the batteries in your slash as well.

My advice though, don't jump straight into 6s with an an ERBE. Start with 4s. It's way faster than you think.

I would have to agree. Erevo brushless sounds like it would be right up your alley. It is a 1/10 scale but it looks and feels like a 1/8
