    old stampede

    i have a older stampede with a 7.2 battery can i use a 8.4 battery in it i tried and coludnt get it to fit very good

    Do you have the XL-5 if so yes but becarful

    What ESC do you have? If you have the xl-1 then you might not be able to but if its a xl-5 then you can.

    its a yellow xl5 but the transmittor is in the front and the wires wont clear the battery hold down

    What 8.4 battery are you trying to use the Traxxas 7 cell hump or stick pack?



    Also its the receiver up front not the transmitter.

    If your trying to run the 7 cell stick pack, You will have to cut the wall out under the ESC for it to fit in the tray, alot of guys used to do it.

    Also Traxxas did change the older style 1 piece battery/receiver hold down from their original design. The newer 2 piece version makes it easier to route your battery wires. This is all before they went micro receiver with box of course.
