if there not expensive packs sell them and buy new in 4months time.
If there expensive I store at 3.85V per cell. Thats the setting on the charger.

3.85v/cell and in the fridge.
I have had a speed run set that have been at storage for 6 months in there... they are still at 3.85v/cell.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
I have never heard of storage in the fridge? One time I was driving my rc car and the ESC smoked and shorted the battery and made it a little puffy. I quickly pulled the battery and then I put it in the freezer and it removed the puffy problem and the battery still works fine. I know it shortened the lipos life from the short out, but the freezer helped save it.
Mine say 3.5-3.8 per cell an cycle every Month , I myself never heard of the of storage in the fridge . Put I don't hv over 6,378 post like Jimmie , So he must know what he's talking about .

"Even when not being used, the internal components slowly corrode over time, and cool temperatures can slow down this process."
I do not, however, charge or use my batteries while they are cold. Using LiPo's while they are cold is hard on them, so I let them warm up to room temp before I charge them for use.

Wouldn't that cause them to get wet when defrosting? Or do you put it in a bag?
Sealed in an airtight container.
What little moisture that is on or in them is long gone after use.
LiPo are somewhat water resistant due to how they are made. The chemical is sealed up in pouches... what is called a cell. The only place water can really do damage is in between those cells, corroding the outer layer of protection.

Ok Gotcha
RC noob here so sorry for the stupid question but here it goes...... So i have two Lipo's a 2c and 3c and i think i understand about storing them with a charge. I have two question, first what kind of time period is considered storage a week a few days a month etc. Second what do you do when you want to fully charge a battery from storage do i just hook it to the charger and let it charge to full or what?
Thanks for the help in advance![]()
Do you mean a 2S and a 3S?
"C" is for a LiPo indicates charge or discharge rates.
"S" stands for the amount of cells in series.
I put my LiPo's at storage voltage if they are going to be unused for more than 24 hours.
When I want to use them, I balance charge them and go.... LiPo does not have the memory effect.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
I talked to TS the other day and he said if your not going to use the battery in two bays it should go into storage mod and that storage mod is 3.85v per cell . Hope this helps . I also posted Earlier that 3.5 to 3.8 . well 3.5 to 3.7 v are to low .
