broken receiver wire

so i was bashing on some huge jumps recently when my vxl-3s came loose and the receiver wire got cut up by the speed control part. how can i fix this or get it fixed? i'm actually in debt to my parents right now, so sending it in to Traxxas isn't an option. any and all suggestions are welcome

What wire?your antenna wire from your receiver,or the one's from your esc to your receiver?

Just take your time,separate the wires from each other,strip the plastic coating,and solider them back together,no worries.
There's only four of them,or five?four i think I've had to do that kind of stuff all the time.Make sure you use electric tape or something so they don't touch when your done.

you have red white and black from the esc to the receiver red whiter and black from the servo to the receiver and off the esc you have red black blue yellow and white those are battery and motor wires was sitting here working on mine just now

doing the suspension with proline that i ordered last week changed the pinion and spur gears cleaned it all up took it out for its first ride on the suspension and it dont steer now servo took a crap so i ordered a new steel gear servo for it done with PLASTIC. so i have to wait again to test out my truck but its all good i still have my Pede to bash on or the 2.5 revo yes its still a 2.5 runs very well nothing like a better pipe and more air to make it run

not the prettiest soldering job ever done, but it works. i just hope they stay in there and working correctly.

With the size of the wire it should be stronger where you soldered it than anywhere else !!!

yeah, the solder part will stay strong, but i'm saying that the little silver wire strands inside might decide to break or pop out if
i'm not careful

i drag raced before built 2 cars a 69 falcon sports coupe and a 65 fairlane 500 sports coupe never really cost that much but i did make some money at it so i guess it evened its self out this wheelin thing is killing me but its all good nothing like a nice ride in 3 feet of mud

This is my last one,um to old,985 hp to the rear wheels 556cubi point block++++mid 8s[IMG][/IMG] motor only all day long

My only 7.36 1/4 mile run in my life,the motor was on it's second season,after watching the video the motor went about 40 foot from the traps,Sold the car a half hour later for 16 grand.
dropped a lifter in # 7 at 8,760rpm's the crank was balanced at rated for 8,000 max,but i was on a mission from god.[IMG][/IMG]

you need heat shrink tubing a little bigger the wire solder the wires let cool the slide heat shrink over what you soldered and heat with lighter till it seals the joint
