battery power question

On the summit...when I go to turn off the truck I unplug the battery on the receiver side of the truck there is still power going to the esc and receiver. they don't both go off until I unplug the second battery on the other side of the truck

Is this supposed to be the case?

Yes normal,the other side (tag on it usually)is the bec side(powers the rx and servos)should always unplug to turn off the truck don't use the button as per traxxas recommendations
