i bought a 2s lipo 7.4 volts 5000 to try to get my stock traxxas slash do wheelies? or what do i need to buy to buy to make my slash do wheelies? or do i get a new motor?

I dont think that will do wheelis lol. Put a lot of weight on the rear bumper? Thats what i did using nimh lol

You need traction and power first and foremost. There are other things you can do with suspension and weight. Do you have the brushed or brushless motor? Its a tall order to get the titan 12t to pull wheelies, but it can be done...

Grab a set of trenchers in the softest compound they make. Stiffin up the rear shocks to keep the back end from squating under acceleration. If that dosent work go get a 3s lipo.

I did it stock

Find really moist almost mud dirt and put your slash there and floor it

But for some reason I can get a wheelie. With my current set up

Actually I just seen a vid of a newer xl5/titan working on 3s... The 2 xl5's I have will not turn on with 3s...

Get motor dude. And if u have money to spend, get the castle creations system. You will do wheelis on those

The sidewinder maybe or the mmp or the mmp sc edition one? Lol idk depenson how much you wanna spend. And where do you drive?

Castle is now waterproof but only there sidewinder the stronger mmp is not
I suggest these systems but they aren't necessary

A true wheelie machine is Truely a stampede 2wd
I like the monster jam versions.
They also cost as much as some castle systems

If your running brushed just snug the slipper up as much as you can. I wouldn't back it off at alll.

a lipo runs longer and more steady at a higher voltage. nimh immeadiately head downward as soon as you plug it in

i just don't get it?I have three slash's,and spend most of my time trying to keep the front tires on the ground. Any one of the three,will wheelie on command,at most any speed.
Heck I have a full size real car,that i cant keep the front wheels down on.

Don't know why um responding to your ignorance,but i have two velienon systems the will wheelie all day ,if you know want your doing .I have listened to person after person ,try to tell you something,and its like talking to a wall.
If you cant get a slash, with a velienon to wheelie,you don't have a clue as to what you are doing.

And castle it just another brand name,in some ways better,in some not.Did you even open your owners manual?

I can get a wheelie with the brushed slash, 2s lipo with 80c burst, really tight slipper (1/4 turn), trencher tires, stiffer rear suspension, possible take an old tire and put it on the back of the car for weight just dont run in too much becuase with the tight slipper and the weight ur putting alot of strain on the motor

If you tighten it it will heat up the motor, and plus he has stock tires and you have some 2.8 tires which can be an effect to doing wheelis or not,

This is a 100% stock slash,with the velienon system,from a 20mph roll ,it will lift the front tires till it flips if i don't get out of the throttleIMG][/IMG]

I have made up my mind and I tried slipper clutch but had trouble and I'm going to buy a vellion system thanks for all your help

That,a a good idea,you'll be happier in the long run,for the most part it,s one of the first mods people do.
I might recommend thou,keeping the xl-5 and titan,encase you find your self wanting to race in a stock class tho.
