    problem with 2238 transmitter.

I have a 2238 transmitter and 2218 receiver. Problem is that I can pair them without problems (green light on both). Atleast I assume that it's paired as everything goes like in the manual.. Problem is that I cannot get throttle nor steering to work. Any ideas what might be the problem or is the transmitter just broken?

make sure all the plugs are all the way in the reciever and on the right spot.
2 slots for steering and they're both channel 1, channel 2 is for your ESC.

Also, make sure they are plugged in the proper direction. I know some connectors do not have the directional tab.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

yep, I'm using the right slots and proper direction. Also I was able to use another transmitter so at least the receiver is working correctly. So it seems that somehow the channels are not working on the transmitter, or misconfigured or similar. When I paired the transmitter and received again I noticed a small action on the connected motor, but after that nothing. Also did a factory reset on the transmitter without any success.

Is there anything I could try? Open the transmitter and check that all cables are connected or similar?

    Thanks.

Open it up and take lots of pictures to post up.
I have worked on quite a few of these radios... if there is something physically wrong, I should be able to spot it.
If it ends up being a broken wire, do you know how to solder on circuit boards? The reason I ask is because the only wire that plugs in on these radios is the antenna wire. Everything else is soldered direct.

Thanks for the assistance. Here's some pics.. I didn't see anything strange and just wondering what's the best way to start troubleshooting.. Bypassing some components, to get some kind of action or similar

For those that don't want to click:

It seems all the wires are where they should be...
has this controller ever gotten wet?

I do not know the full history of this transmitter, but I as far as I can see it has not gotten wet. Is there anyway to troubleshoot, like peeling some cables and bypassing trim, throttle or steering.

or should I just toss this in the bin and get another 2.4GHz transmitter...

Be sure to check out the receiver as well...
I have read of potentiometers going bad, but never two at once.

There is nothing to bypass to my knowledge to see if it is a specific part...
