I personally like outerwears. They come in some different colors and look great. I guess what it depends on what you want to do. I don't have an outerwears but I think the fabric can breath so you wouldn't have to worry about temps. Hopefully someone who has both or one will chime in soon to say something! Good luck!

I have one on my sl4sh and one on the way for my bl EMaxx .

They work great at keeping things clean and dry.

Is there and overtray that works in combination with ESC fan and Motor sink/fan?
It be nice to have the best of both worlds.. Cooling and protection.

Outerwears breaths very well. I didn't notice much difference with temps at all.

Forum member BrokenLexan had both. He regrets getting the jconcepts overtray:

Yeah I have both as well .... and I'm currently in the middle of converting to a slash chassis and I only got the outerwears for that one

Takes about 1 more minute to put on correctly than the JConcepts but man it works and breaths so much better

This is a decision I've been mulling here myself.

I'm concerned about the heating issue with the jconcepts tray.
I like the idea of the outerwears but don't care for the price.

My searching led me to this post in the emaxx section about making a "firewall"....

anyone try this one a stampede 4x4?
