Turn of the truck after lipo cut off is enabled

Is the only way to power down the truck to disconnect the batteries?

I've tried to push the button but no response.

It has been suggested by Traxxas to unplug the batteries to power down the RC, not to use the button.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

I have never got a clear explanation on it
But some of it is how its wired internally
Plus if you leave the batts plugged in it is drawing a small amount of current.i have forgotten to unplug once
A few hours ruined a lipo, over discharged it.a puffy over discharged lipo can be dangerous.its a good habit
    To get into

    Sent using lipo power
    Mountains cant stop me
    they have tried

I actually notice something today and have notices it many times before but just finally put two and two together. When I shut mine off using the button and unplug the batteries to put new batteries in it sparks just ever so slightly on the battery to esc connection. When I unplug the batteries to shut it off and then plug new batteries in they don't spark.
I don't why Traxxas says to do that but after noticing that I'm going to make it a habit to unplug them to turn them off.
