How to change out the 2065 transmission servo..

Can anyone help with this? I have unscrewed both set screws, and I see the wires going underneath the motor/transmission. Not sure I just want to start taking everything off if I dont have to lololol.

Any help would be much appreciated.

when i did mine, i took out the motor to give me some room to get the plug out of the reviever box area, then just pulled the wire through the servo mount and out. some small needle nose help too.

    Flip over truck
    two screws removes the bracket.

The rear diff loc linkage is a ball and socket can be gently poped off

    Whole bracket off much simpler

Those channels are describing the receiver... in the receiver box alongside of the motor. Just follow the wire...
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

Oh okay gotcha. The cheapest stock servos i can find are around 30 bucks. I wish i could find a servo with a metal gear to upgrade to.

When installed and setup right they usually don't cause much grief. Just be careful when tightening or loosening the horn.little tiny plastic teeth are very sensitive...lol hold it in place when tightening. They don't have to work very hard in theory.Sometimes you just get a bad one.

Take out the reciever. It's just held on with two sided tape. That will give you more room.

Pry what up? The whole receiver box? It doesnt look like i can pull the wires with the harness attached through the tiny slit opening on the receiver. Since this servo is trashed, i could just cut the wires but i still would have to learn how to do it properly when i install the new servo and wire harness.

You pry the receiver up from the bottom of the box. This will give you the clearance needed to get the connectors in and out.

What you are holding is the receiver box with the receiver in it. The receiver can be pried out of the box with a small flat tipped screwdriver. It is only held in the box with doublesided tape.

After I removed my Rx I just put a small square of Velcro under it. It makes it much easier next time.
