    Glow Plug

What is the best glow plug for a Jato? Also, if you are fouling plugs fairly quick what could be the problem? Anyone have a good setting for all three needles to start with? I am running that Backyard Basher Fuel

    Thanks

I use O.S LC3 or LC4 plugs. If you're fouling plugs quick i would take apart the engine and check for debris and clean everthing out. If that's not an issue it might be your tune. Colder weather=richer tune. I never ran that fuel so i can't give you a good starting point. Just set it back to stock and go from there. Where in Jersey are you?

Central Jersey Bridgewater Area. My brother, nephew and I all have Jatos that we bash around with. I buy most of my parts from Hillsborough Hobbies. I have the stock Traxxas plugs and some LC3 plugs, i never had this issue prior to switching fuel so maybe like you said I just need to return it to stock and start from there, is there a way to clean out the engine without taking it apart?

I very rarely foul a plug when it is tuned properly. Too lean = fouled plug and bured up motor. Too rich = fouled plug (albeit much longer) and longevity on motor. Run 30% or higher nitro will = cooler engine temps and better performance overall. I wouldn't skimp on fuel quality. A new motor is more expensive in the long run.
