New slash body for my son-inlaw

The only new Traxxas vehicle my son-in-law has is the E Revo we got him last Christmas. The two Slashes he has are used, and the bodys abused LOL. So I bought him a Proline Flo-Tek and even painted it for him.

Truck is air brushed and liquid mask used for the detail work.... A few mistakes but all in all pretty good.

He loves fire trucks... so red it would be... The pics for some reason don't seem to show the bright fire engine red that it is, but here's a few pic's.

The sticker with his name on it is the reverse type/ applied from the inside of the body.

The red lights I installed flash. I also got him a flashing and rotating red beacon for the back but it didn't get here untill Christmas eve day.

Thanks for the replys.... I get alot of enjoyment in painting and working on all this RC stuff.. Boats included.

I installed the fire truck beacon for him and connected it to the flashing rear lights and as soon as he mounts the body to his truck I'll take a mini video of the lights in action.....The really look sweet...

Tomorrow I'm going to start on the new Chevy 1500 body he gave me for Christmas I'm going to try and do a Redbull truck.
There is a graphic's shop in town and they said they could do a Redbull body wrap... Keep ya all posted on it.

Very nice! Wonder if there's some way to do gold leaf, like on the real fire trucks? I really prefer the clean paint schemes like this one- you can actually see what the body looks like.

I didn't think of using gold leaf at the time but yes, I think gold leaf would work and could be used effectively due to the fact that they do make an adhesive to apply self made decals, pictures etc. for use on polycarbonate bodies.

After duing my last body, I also feel that too many decals and stickers take away from a paint job and overall body appearance as this one I did of a Ford Raptor body.... I just made it a little too busy....Took away from the yellow and black.
