Does your batteries are giving the marked volt on labbel?

Hi everyone, as you all know, i'm a noob. I recently checked all my nimh batteries, and i have noticed that my 7.2v 1200mah(stock bat.)were giving 8.3v at full charge, and my stocks 1/10 slash 8.4v.3000mah were at 9.26v. Is this normal? And can this be bad while having 2 batteries connected in series at those voltages?(asking for merv and slash 4x4 1/10 scale)

Single NiMh battery is always labeled 1.2V but fully charged has 1.4-1.5V.
Lipo is labeled 3.7 but fully charged has 4.2V.
