    lipo question...

    Hi everyone,
I'm hinking about getting some lipo after new year, but i don't know what spécifications i should be looking for. I know that 2S or 3S is the cell count, but what does the 20C or 45C means? And is it better to have a higher number before the ''C''?

    Thanks!

The higher the C rating the better it will be at delivering amperage... the C rating is the amount of amperage the pack is capable of.

To calculate the constant discharge rate of your pack
    mAh x minimum discharge C rate / 1,000 = available amps
    For example:
    The same 2200mah 20-40C pack.
    2,200 x 20 / 1000 = 44
This battery pack can consistently provide up to 44 amps.

SPC makes a 2500mAh 50C that is the largest 2S I have seen.
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.

The higher number before the C rating is from basically run time. Bigger number longer run time but problem with the C rating is there is no standard. Companys can put whatever rating they want. So buy from a good company like spc
