    I've about had it!!!

Well I have two summits and they have had electronic issues and I've changed the esc twice in both!!! I've had problems with the esc in one of my non brushless emaxes!!! And with all the money I've spent on those things I could have a mamba monster !!! My summits have been sitting for a while and it makes me sad but they have no esc!!!
Does any one have any ideas in what esc and motor combo I could use?!?!
I'm just soo angry with the stupid esc and ready to get rid of it!!!
Thanks guys I feel a little better lol

Hahah it's really quite incredible how much power the psychology-of-posting-on-a-forum has over relieving stress!

Sorry if you've posted before, but how have you had such issues!? Are you very hard on the car? Do you drive it in a pool without drying it off all the time? Traxxas is really good with replacing parts that are faulty, so I'm curious why you've spent any money at all!

    Let us know! =)

It is actually suggested not to use the button to turn it off.

    We need more detail...
    LiPo/NiMh?
    Stock gearing?
    Any upgrades?
    Motor?
    Did you break it in?
    Mud, trails, climbing, fast driving?
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

My only problem is sometimes when I'm near or in water reverse only works at full throttle. My main problem is connecting and disconnecting the batts. Everybody tells the connection should be tight so they don't come apart, but I need pliers to unplug the batteries. This does not seem normal to me, anyone else have this prob?

    Threads don't last forever...
Usually if someone doesn't have the same problem and cannot add to the topic, they don't post.

The wet reverse issue is semi common
Mine would take three four tries before it would work if at all.yet my newer one no issues check the rx box for any moisture
    Just in case.
Did you solder the connecters on the batts?
They can be a bit tricky and takes some practice to get them right.they will relax a bit over time and use

Dewalt evx2 combo is hard to beat for brushed waterproof and durable.
Not going to win any speed contests
    But its pretty tough.

I am wondering if you have done a test on the batteries you have. They may be your culprit to short esc life. I would try a different set of new batteries and see if this fixes the issue. may even borrow some to see if a change takes place. As for brushless power, That would open up a whole new list of problems for your truck. If you do go brushless stay away from 6s lipo power. 4s lipos will be all the truck drive components can handle.
