    Question Help needed...

    Hi Chaps,

I had concluded i had a faulty ESC, having checked battery voltage, replaced handset batteries and restored handset to factory settings. So just to make sure i used my VXL3s from my Stampede in my MERV and it has the same problem!?

The problem is the ESC entering LVC (flashing slow red). As i bought this car busted its harder to track fault because i don't know what was working in the first place.

    Cheers...

    Disconnect the servo and check

It's a new servo, hitec, tried it without servo in - it does a few straight runs and then hits LVC.

Then your battery is weak, the voltage drop causes LVC

When i put it on charger it comes up at about 4volts per cell, after the esc has gone into LVC!?

Can i do a bodge to test that theory - strap a 2s 4000mah from my stampede into the MERV?

If you know the 2s from your stampede is good then yes. Just strap the battery up to your merv and let it rip. I've done it before

truck may be drawing more than your battery can handle. (batt is faulty as you have found) Run it without LVC but do timed runs, keeping a CLOSE eye on performance when it starts to drop, stop running.

Is it cold where you are at?
    Cold temps effect LiPo dramatically!
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

Yes it is cold (ish) here in the UK. From all i've done i'm sure it is the battery, the first proper run out i got was with a different lipo. Thanks for the help everyone, i can get a battery ordered and finally enjoy the MERV. Happy Christmas!

I`m glad you solve the problem...Just for the info: If the battery is weak it can have 4V or more with no load, but with a load the voltage can drop vastly, depends how bad the battery is. Measuring voltage without a load isn`t reliable...
