Great find man... just ordered mine... this is by far the best upgrade you can do to any of traxxas's 4X4 vehicles.

Im sure traxxas will eventually make a version of their aluminum mount for the LCG chassis but like the version for the non LCG chassis, the King Headz version uses an oversized bearing that is far more durable. The traxxas version is just an aluminum remake of the stock mount. The King Headz is actually an improvement.

Other benefits of the aluminum mount (from any manufacturer) is heat dissipation. Believe it or not, that mount makes a big difference in heat... the whole mount will get warm when your running hard.

Thanks for posting! I have not run my rally yet, waiting on a few things to finish it, just doing lots of reading. Apparently the motor mount is one of the issues and I see lots of people waiting on this mount. I guess that is one more company that shows up on my banks list lol.

In alot of RC circle's the Kingheadz mount is a very valuable upgrade for the slash 4x4. SO, for the Rally even with it's new chassis and motor mount design, We'll be very happy with the new Kingheadz aluminium mount. I have one on my Slash 4x4 and such a nice piece. Just orded the one for my Rally. Well I thought I did. BOOOOO!

Yeah i'm a big fan of the Kingheadz motor mount to. I have one on my P4de and Sl4sh. Very worth it IMO. I've actually been waiting for this to come in the spot light. Didnt even think it would be out this fast. Figured at least mid next year. Not complaining one bit at all. Now i'd like HR to make a Heatsink Motor Plate, then it would be on from there. LOL My car stays mild in the 120's after 35-40 minutes of WOT on & off road running.

I get a free pass on this one, the RCE kit comes with a huge bearing, excellent quality also. Im still running the one that comes with is. 3s-4s, a bit of maintenance, and its lasted sense april. If I was running stock chassis, I would add it to the must list. Congratulations guys, I know you all must be excited about this hop-up!

That was quick, didnt really expect to see that till into the new year. Good work KH on this.

I think Traxxas may have caught some people off guard by changing it on the Rally/LCG Slash4x4

It doesn't look like the Rally's KH motor mount supports telemetry. Am I overlooking something?

It sure does. Reading fail on my part. This just moved to the top of my short list of upgrades for my LCG chassis, currently in Slash configuration.

I wonder if traxxas gave them the specs in advance so they could release it so quickly?

I guess this proves that manufacturers can produce a product in a timely manner if they want to. Sometimes we wait forever for a new part and wonder why its taking so long.

Lucky man. When I made the order it showed out of stock. I think they are in stock now, i just haven't gotten a shipping conf. yet.

BTW you know they ship a spare bearing with the setup. You will now have an extra spare spare. LOL

I actually JUST realized that this morning. Funny thing is that I did the SAME thing when I ordered the mount for my Pede 4X4 and Im pretty sure I STILL have the spare bearing I got back then in my tool box. So, I have 4 bearings now. Oh well.

They include really nice bearings so its not a waste at all. You might just have them for a little while. I'm stoked and can't wait to get it.

I just ordered mine today, as I talked with Jim at KHz through email today. He said they are expecting the current batch from the anodizer company today or tomorrow. Look's like the one's we ordered should be shipped monday or tuesday. Heck we might get lucky and get them shipped friday. YAY!

This is what every good traxxas fan needs, spares of spares just in case. Then I forget about the spare and order another one.
