Should I be able to make the truck wheelie on a 2s lipo pack? I am just trying to button things up before I give it to my son.

Yes you can. You would have to tighten the clutch. I like to have my clutch a little lose.

Stampede 4x4 Roller to be for sale!
also make sure your truck is not in training mode.
I play til something breaks
It'll wheelie on nimh batteries. Remove the spur and slipper unit, tighten the slipper nut holding the spur with your fingers (ala 'finger tight') then back it off 1/8 to 1/4". Wheelie away![]()
The pede loves wheelies its all down to the slipper dude hope you have lots of fun with it as a family...peace
Famous last words...watch this!!!!
We run the castle 3800's and can wheelie for days!
Thrash It, Bash it, Break it, No Regrets!!!
i have stock nimhs with slipper 1/4 tite and cant pull wheels off the ground!!!!!!!!![]()
RACE IT, BREAK IT, FIX IT, REPEAT!
Training mode is off? Plenty of traction (no wheel spin)? If yes to both, try tightening the slipper more. Other than bad battery, esc or motor causing poor performance, if everything is stock then your slipper may be either too loose or possibly too worn. I suppose the latter likely if it's been run loose for a long time; a telltale sign is lots of clutch fibre built up around the rear diff housing where it meets the center shaft.
2wd or 4x4?
I have the vxl 4x4 no wheelies yet. Still a work in progress.
Here is a quick vid of my pede on 2s, slipper is set at 1/8th out from full tight.

Nice video. The mountains in the back ground look awesome.
Good bear hunting in BC?
You've probably got a bind somewhere or an ESC/motor issue. Anyway, once you get things sorted out, you can put the bigger Revo Clutch in. You need to buy the pressure plate and rebuild kit and you can use your stock shaft and other parts. I wouldn't go beyond 1/4 turn on the slipper though or you will be breaking things like MIP coupler pins, axle pins, motor shafts, etc. of you run 3S Lipo.
"The Voice of Expensive Experience".
I was unable to pull wheelies in training mode, but when I went to sport mode, and had traction, I was wheeling like no other. I was using the stock 2S Lipo. Hope you get it figured out.
