is the batt. a nimh or a lipo?
All I need now is to set a new lap record.
time to reset the ESC

Lipo and how do i reset skye?
you went from nimh to lipo you have to put the esc in lipo http://traxxas.com/support/Programmi...ed-Controlmode
activate low voltage detection settings for lipo

all infp is there

Well guys or gals this all isnt working still I must have a different issue
I put in a different esc as my old one was running for about 2 laps then dying and saying battery was died and the battery isnt dead so i switch esc out thinking it was bad and this one is doing same thing except i cant even move now..
I was told hold esc until 1 blink then release this mode is stock
Hold esc until 2 red blinks and release this is race mode
Hold esc until 3 red blinks and release this is training mode?
Link doesnt work says they are rebuilding site
Color is red on esc esc light is red
To activate Low-Voltage Detection (LiPo setting):
1. Make sure the LED on the speed control is on and red.
2. Press and hold the EZ-Set button for ten seconds.
The LED will turn off and then light green. Also, a
“rising” musical tone will be emitted from the motor on brushless equipped models.
Brushed models equipped with the XL-5, EVX-2, and XL-2.5
will beep twice.
3. Low-Voltage Detection is now ACTIVATED.

Stuck button ? try to lightly take a knife and pry up on the button.
I really appreciate all your help and im messing up somewhere or skipping a step as now my motor runs on 3s battery but pulsates on 2s and motor doesnt move but gets warm fast like reverse polarity and thats on all my 2s batteries which all are brand new (3 of them ) so idk
i never said it didn't happen you are giving wrong info even rag6 said you can turn the esc off by pressing the button no one ever said hold it except you your story changes with just about every
post on the same thread go back read the thread see what person said hold button

I said i don't,because um trying to save my button,I may have miss spoke?for that i apologize.
I tried to pm you to say i was sorry for the misunderstanding, perhaps you never got it.
stuff happens,no hard feelings here,we were just trying to help some one.
wish we could have helped him more.

That's funny,we both did,I told him to hold the button till the motor made a ascending sound, you read it from the manual, that's all.
Sorry again,we probable got the poor guy so messed up he's pulling his hair out.

I guess I was over powering the esc and motor cause i was trying to run a 2s 5000mah 50c 546A and vxl3 only allows 320A opps..... my 3s 5000mah 20c20c allows only 216A
Well I thought it was being over powered but idk now as I raced it tonight at my indoor track and got 4 laps then esc went red and had no power once again, Im thinking or wondering if my motor is bad?
Sounds like the esc is bad.
It happens more than you think. I'd try a different battery too. My buddy went through two esc's in a week. If they were indestructible, traxxas wouldn'take any money!!!
I was fully convinced that your throttle trim wasn't centered until I read this post. There isn't any acceptable reason I can think of that will allow the motor to run on nimh but not lipo. Even if the LVC is turned off, it will still run on lipo. It just won't have any ability to keep your battery from over discharging.
Only thing I can think of is bad esc.
Make sure your remote is calibrated to the ESC correctly, you can look in your manual for instructions. If all else fails, try hooking up a different brushless motor, then trying it.

Traxxas tech said it was bad batteries but the batteries work fine in a venom brushless setup plus charge and balance good ..
If I run following lipos system runs fine
2s 5000mah 25c
3s 5400mah 20c
3s 5000mah 35c
But will not run on following
2s 5400mah 50c
2s 5600mah 60c
2s 5700mah 70c
All venom batteries
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe simplify... Unless I am misunderstanding, 1 2s pack is working, but all other 2s packs do not?
LETS GO PENS!!!!
If this was answered um sorry, but you said vxl,not velienon system,we are talking about a veli brush less aren't we?
Just cant remember if you said you had the brush less motor,or just the vxl-3 esc.Above you said runs in venom brush less system.

DOINK!
Are you using the venom multi connectors?
LETS GO PENS!!!!
Im sorry im running stock vxl3s esc and traxxas veliniom 3500 brushless motor and the first batteries listed will run system but others wont esc turns red signalling batteries are dead but there not dead as i placed back on balance board and there good then I place in a different brushless system (venom brand) and the batteries work
