    Exclamation Engine won't stay started

Hey guys, I'm trying to have my engine stay running. Whenever I start it, it stays on for about 5 seconds then just shuts off. I had to replace the carb because I tightened the HSN too much that the housing broke. I took a carb off my old nitro because they're the same carb. I did set the needles back to factory and I noticed that gas came out from the exhaust so I tightened it 1/4 of a turn then no gas was coming out then. The engine was flooded but that shouldn't be the reason why it keeps shutting off. Please help! I'm getting quite frustrated with fiddling with it:/

Even if it still glows it could still be bad.

Agreed. The plug needs to be able to glow without an external power source attached to it.
Engines need four components to run: air, fuel, glow and compression. Verify you have each and it will stay running.

turn your idle screw in a few turns....turn the low needle in a turn...and turn the high needle in a turn....see if it stays running.
