Rotor/drill start

Hi Everybody,
I am looking for a good starter for my revo that dose not need the starter motor like the EZ-start. Right now i have a losi ROSS on it and it's cool in all, But i want something better. I had the pullstart and that thing is not cool at all. I would like to try a rotor/drill start on my 3.3. From vids i seen on youtube they look veary easy and fast way to start your engine. But i dont know what the best rotor start is for the 3.3 and i dont know if i will need a new one way bearing. If any of you guys can help me out with any info that would be great.

drill starts go back in the day, but int wear a big factor?

I had a DuraTrax starter on it and it uses the OEM OWB. Worked fine but I didn't like lugging a cordless drill around all the time so I went to pull start.

Cool thanks, I might pick up one of those little cordless drills if they have enough power, Or i might get an hpi roto start 2 wand. Do you have a link or remember where you got your rotor start?

I have the DuraTrax starter it's $35.00. One thing is you have to use 2 7.2V batteries but it has a ton of power and last a long time I already had batteries so needing 2 wasn't a problem for me.

get the ofna t start, easiest and best for the engine

I got the duratraxx starter back plate and starter shaft. I am going to use a power drill. I also got an ofna glow lighter. I cant wait to start it now.

Sullivan Products also have a roto start tiger drive that suits the 3.3 engine, its a good little unit from what I have read & has metal gears for strength, I have heard that some roto starts on the market have plastic gears so may not last as long.
I have one on its way for the O.S 21tm in my revo.

.My buddy has nothing but problems with the hpi Roto start. And its only about 3 weeks old and only used maybe 1.25 gals through his savage.

Thats why i would never buy Hpi stuff.

I bought the duratraxx drill start backing plate and i am pretty sure it has 2 metal gears aswell. I will be installing it this saturdaybut i cant start it because it might be snowing all weekend. I cant wait to try this new starter and finish my breakin on my new engine.
