how do you mod the battery tray for 8000/8200 mah lipo

Was actually wondering if anyone runs without the rear tabs on the battery trays, if it's alright or will thw batteries flop out from a roll or jump?

The ends of lipos won't fit in becauae the cords kind of come out of the side of the battery

I'm not sure trimming the opening will work

Try putting them in so that the wires face inwards, and then take off the rear battery vent and pull the wires through there.

I was informed by Tom at SPC racing, that you unscrew the back vent, once you have the vent in your hand, get a box cutter or sharp tool, and take out the plastic veins in the vent, then you screw the battery vent back in its place, and this makes it possible to run your larger/bulkier lipo wires through the vent duct so that you can connect them to your esc wires.

I'm using larger XT90 connectors, so I just cut all the "web" out. Super easy and fast battery installation and removal. No need to keep one or two of them in there, it's not like they serve any structural purpose! =)

You can see the battery wires coming out of the vents in this pic.

I took everything out. All the battery retainers and the upper spring plate thing... I just emptied the battery compartments out completely. Those 8000+ batteries fit so tight they never more around at all.
