Picking up the traxxas pillow ball retainers /caps today i hear you just screw them in, thats into
A hole with no threads. i have done that with other part so i know it will work.

The lhs said they (traxxas) made a mistake that it was not for the stock knuckle, after thought and searching
the net i am going for it, im calling traxxas before i hit the lh shop.

This is the only way to clean up the slop i feel, i want to get closer to the perfect toe vrs camber angles
And when the toe and camber have a1/4 inch slop to start with a close to perfect front end geomitry ain't
Gonna happen.. i will post the results

I recently installed those on my daughters mini.
So far so good, it does elimante all the unnesscessary slop.
Maxximumoverdrive will have more experience on that.

Cool thanks i just talked to traxxas and they confirm that yes they self tap, so im picking them up today.

It is amazing to me on how many RC shops have no clue about the parts they carry.

They work fine and will cut their own threads when you screw them in. I've been using them for a while with zero problems.

No problem. Just make sure you put a dab of thread lock on them before you install just to give a bit more bite.

We've been using them for a while in the stock knuckle/axle carrier. Had one back out, probably should have used some thread lock. Other than that they really help with the slop which is a problem for higher speeds.

What a major differance that made ..... till i slammed a solid chunk of concrete and broke a knuckle
but it ran much straighter and did what i asked it to do, the crash was a bad eye problem i have,
awaiting surgery on that, off to the lhs for new knuckles.. thanks again
oh and so easy to install im happy happy happy......

Went with the rpm knuckles for the front i do like them better but only time will tell

A small flatblade can b used jst push in the tab and the retainer will pop out do the same on the other side and out it comes

Ps. Count your turns if you remove the pillow balls helps to get the camber and toe close that is if u remove them.
