Build, Bash, Clean, Repair, Repeat..
Well, I managed to install all the bulkheads on the chassis... Luckily, the bulkheads are not perfect, so the distance between the mounting holes is not the same on any of them... So, after spending some time juggling them back and forth, four of them fit perfectly and I only had to enlarge the holes on the chassis for the third bulkhead, from 3mm to 3,25mm, not bad...
Looks small (sorry, is hard to take a picture of it), but remember, wheelbase is 44 inches... I'm working on the top chassis (four) and chassis braces now...

looking very good, it seems it is coming along pretty well.
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
Well, I'm still working on it, this past weekend I made the sockets on the chassis for the flat head titanium screws that hold the bulkheads (20 total)... I used a 6mm, 90 degrees, cnc made drill bit as you can see next... A standard 6mm drill bit won't do the job because the angle is different (60 degrees if I'm not mistaken)...
I also drew the plans for the short chassis braces (need 6)...
For the two rear top chassis...
And, for the front top chassis...
I'm working on the middle top chassis now and the two long chassis braces... And, I still have to decide if I'm going to polish or to anodize the aluminum...
Well, hope you like it so far, and I'll post more things soon...

Lots of time, thought and effort going into this one. Looking forward to seeing the end result. Nice work.
Always get a 2nd Opinion!
any more pics
we need updates man!
Trust me, I'm working on it, I'll have all the upper chassis soon, probably next week...

Short update, got the four upper chassis today in 2mm acrylic...
If everything fits, I'll have them made in 4mm 7075 aluminum this week...
And, I might move the two servos from the longest chassis to the shorter chassis... So, all 4 servos are on the first top chassis...

An update, so, the parts fitted perfectly, all the holes aligned well and the steering works nicely...I sent the CAD drawings to the CNC guy and he said he will try to have them in aluminum by this weekend! Also, I have to finish the chassis brace drawing, will try one first and see how it fits, I need 10 total... There's still a lot of work to do but I'm getting there...

What do you think so far?
Everything fits great! It needs some work around the edges, nothing serious, just left overs from the machining...
Tomorrow I'll get an example of the chassis braces, the "X" shown before, I'll install ten of them total...
I'll try to post better pictures soon, it's a bit late and I'm tired today...

I bet it will be easy to get a body for that.
LOLI just need a body for the first part, still haven't find one that I like... I want something like the Proline Topkick, Big Rig, or Streamliner...

Really awesome. I like "outside the box" builds.

Now "THAT" is a project. Nice work T1. Will be cool to see some pics when you get it put together.

Yip...seems to me your priorities are in order too...awaiting anxiously for the end result.
Rock n Rolla !
A short vid of the CNC machine when it was making 3 chassis braces ("X" shape)... Sorry for the bad quality, I have a cheap cell...
