Well, I managed to install all the bulkheads on the chassis... Luckily, the bulkheads are not perfect, so the distance between the mounting holes is not the same on any of them... So, after spending some time juggling them back and forth, four of them fit perfectly and I only had to enlarge the holes on the chassis for the third bulkhead, from 3mm to 3,25mm, not bad...

Looks small (sorry, is hard to take a picture of it), but remember, wheelbase is 44 inches... I'm working on the top chassis (four) and chassis braces now...

Well, I'm still working on it, this past weekend I made the sockets on the chassis for the flat head titanium screws that hold the bulkheads (20 total)... I used a 6mm, 90 degrees, cnc made drill bit as you can see next... A standard 6mm drill bit won't do the job because the angle is different (60 degrees if I'm not mistaken)...

I also drew the plans for the short chassis braces (need 6)...

For the two rear top chassis...

And, for the front top chassis...

I'm working on the middle top chassis now and the two long chassis braces... And, I still have to decide if I'm going to polish or to anodize the aluminum...

Well, hope you like it so far, and I'll post more things soon...

Short update, got the four upper chassis today in 2mm acrylic...

If everything fits, I'll have them made in 4mm 7075 aluminum this week...

And, I might move the two servos from the longest chassis to the shorter chassis... So, all 4 servos are on the first top chassis...

An update, so, the parts fitted perfectly, all the holes aligned well and the steering works nicely... I sent the CAD drawings to the CNC guy and he said he will try to have them in aluminum by this weekend! Also, I have to finish the chassis brace drawing, will try one first and see how it fits, I need 10 total... There's still a lot of work to do but I'm getting there...

What do you think so far?

Everything fits great! It needs some work around the edges, nothing serious, just left overs from the machining...

Tomorrow I'll get an example of the chassis braces, the "X" shown before, I'll install ten of them total...

I'll try to post better pictures soon, it's a bit late and I'm tired today...

A short vid of the CNC machine when it was making 3 chassis braces ("X" shape)... Sorry for the bad quality, I have a cheap cell...

Sorry Guys, been busy, I was searching for a new home with my girlfriend and that took time from me...

So far, I finished all the edges, made the sockets for the screws, tested the dual steering and everything lines up...

I only have 2 good chassis braces, and I need 8 more, but I'm a little short with money to make them with the CNC guy...

I'll cash my check next Friday, so, I might make them because I really want to finish this project...

Also decided to anodize everything silver... And still undecided about which motor to use, a Titan775 or a Brushless one...

Brushless is the way to go, I don't think the Titan775 would last long in that setup.

I hear ya on life getting in the way, I have 2 half finished BB nitro trucks sitting in pieces atm just waiting for funds to be available to get them finished.
    Look out for the tree/crunch!

I hope your making 2 of every custom part! If it works out, you could have the custom parts needed to sell to someone on here! The power setup out of a xo-1 would do the trick, geared low with the 1/2 offset geod wheels with masher type tires! Forget the body, you wont find one. Just roll cage it and put your own panels on it. Its gonna be heavy anyway. How are you extending the drive out the back of a diff?

That was covered in the first post. They are custom differential cases with 2 input shafts.

Hey Guys, I'm happy to say that all 5 chassis and the motor mount went to the anodize shop today, I might have them back by the end of the next week, but those guys are slow... I'm going to build it as soon as they are back, but without the chassis braces, no money for them now, but I'm planning to add them sooner or later... So, if everything goes well, I'll be finishing this project this month... I'll post pictures soon!

Thanks Guys! Yesterday I spent like 6 hours and it's still not finished, it's getting heavier and looks pretty good so far, I need to install one more dual differential and I'll take a few pics, probably today, maybe tomorrow...

    Cheap one minute preview video...

I misplaced one servo that's why it's missing, still need to add the ESC, some wiring for all the servos, align the axle carriers and install the wheels...

At one point I tried to show how the "X" style chassis braces look, you get the idea, needs 10 total, only one installed now...

Hope you like it so far!

Thanks! I like how it looks so far, I'm trying to get the money to make the missing chassis braces soon, I have to spend like $100 at the CNC shop to make all of them... I don't know if you noticed, but all bulkheads are rear ones, so, at the front, I'll have to install a rear bumper, which I'm trying to avoid...
