Engine will rev but will barely move

I've had all kinds of issues with this truck......

I rebuilt the transmission, replaced all the gears inside and put it back together. I'm wondering if I did something wrong.

Started right up and when I gave it gas it revved really high but barely moved. Now it will just rev really high but won't go anywhere.

Don't know if this has anything to do with it but I don't remember the truck being able to roll freely forward and backwards if you push it but mine is now, is that normal? There is no resistance it will just roll like a toy truck (if that makes sense).

Any suggestions?

I'd check both, it's normally caused by either one.

also when you had the transmission out on the primary shaft there is a c clip looking piece that holds a pin in the shaft mine broke on me and it "rolled like a toy truck" just a thought ill post pictures if you dont know what im talkin about i dont think it would be you clutch spring what ive noticed with that is it would be always in motion and never stop and if it did it would killl the motor but check that pin inside

if you can roll the truck in both directions without resistance. they are a couple of scenarios

1/ you said you pull the trans mission out. check to see if you left out a pin on one of the shafts, either the 2 speed shaft or the output shaft...

2/ did you reconnect the driveshafts? i doubt you will forget that.. just thought i'd ask..

3/ do you have reverse in your truck?? if yes maybe you installed the reverse gears wrong or left something out

There is a one way bearing on the first gear gear.
