Clear Gear Cover 6877A - Melted? Alum Motor Mount

I put in the Kings Head Motor Mount and did one run on Traxxas 2S lipo and the clear gear cover melted. Is this because the aluminum motor mount was touching the clear plastic? Will I melt the stock black one.

Is this normal?

Not normal at all, got pics? Where did it melt? Must of had some major heat going on. What kind of temps was the motor at? Must be something binding, somethings not right somewhere to be getting temps like that.

It melted down the middle. Stock 2s lipo, wheels, gears.
