    Post HPRC Rally build

Well here it goes. The latest build to come out of the HPRC shop. It started out as a Ken Block Gymkahna Fiesta... then it got broken in two (pics to come). Here's what I just ordered from RCPlanet.com:

    Code Name Price Qty Total
    TRA3061 Traxxas Adapter Connector Male to Molex Female (1) TRA3061 $4.19 1 $4.19
    TRA7022 Traxxas Chassis 1/16 E-Revo/Slash 4WD TRA7022 $12.49 1 $12.49
    TRA7311 Traxxas Body/Grill & Lights Decal Sheet Rally TRA7311 $16.99 1 $16.99
    TRA7317G Traxxas Exo-Carbon Wing 1/16 Ford Fiesta & Ken Block TRA7317G $8.95 1 $8.95
    TRA7029X Traxxas Rear Bulkhead (Left & Right Halves) 3x10mm BCS (4) TRA7029X $4.99 1 $4.99
    RPM80602 RPM Rear Upper/Lower A-Arms Black E-Revo RPM80602 $12.95 1 $12.95
    RPM80692 RPM Front Upper/Lower A-Arms Black Mini Revo RPM80692 $12.50 1 $12.50
    TRA7372 Traxxas Tires/Wheels Assembled/Glued Rally (2) TRA7372 $14.99 2 $29.98

I'm going to need a second order because I forgot a few things... Like paint. The car is currently completely disassembled so its a complete build... Not just a tire change.

I placed a second order of paints, tapes, and other finishing supplies, as well as a miniature car stand for this little car. Here are some pictures of the damage and how the car sits right now.

Something looks a little odd here.

Yep... something's got to be broke.

    That's not supposed to happen...

That's a good enough excuse to tear the whole truck apart... right?

Would you look at that!? It's taking itself apart!

    Ouch!

Not good... not good at all.

Going to need a new one of those... whatever it is.

Car? What car? I didn't see any car.

I started the process of etching the anodizing off of the bulkhead tie bar things, as well as the motor, last night. I've decided to black out pretty much everything but the metal stuff, which will be polished. Pics to come.... soonish.

I hope so . I guess it's not possible to change the color of the ESC that's the only thing I'm not happy about with this build. I'll have to figure something out. I think the parts are delivered but I won't be home until later today. I'll post pictures tonight.

I think I'll paint or vynil wrap the servo and ESC. They look SO bad on the blacked out Rally. I'll post pics of the progress I've made. As with everything though... 10 steps forward and 3 steps back. I assembled the whole thing with merv arms and didn't realize. Now it has to come all back apart and I need to get the correct arms. I'll post pics tonight or tommorow.

I looked at your part list, and noticed that you ordered the exo carbon wing. It will only fit properly on the fiesta body (7312) or the protoform tornado, not the 7311 body.

Instead of painting or wrapping your esc and servo. just get a MMP esc and hi-tec servo. problem solved. lol

A few hundred dollars later lol. I got a few coats of orange accents on the body and I'm breaking the rules a little bit. I'm painting the outside of the body. It's not a basher body at all so it should be all right... and a heck of a lot easier to paint. Pics in a few minutes...

Cool build, man. Why don't you like the stock KB shell?
And there he goes with the carbon...

Thanks. Honestly, I don't like the KB body because I like to be different. I'll still use the KB body as my beater but I wanted something cool with clear windows to look good in some future videos. I got it all sprayed... Just letting the last bit dry before I put on the stickers and take some pictures.

Turned out pretty decent. Definitely would look better if I painted the inside but that's WAY too difficult on this body.

She's all done and put together. I'll let this rain get out of here before I run it for the first time though. I don't want to get it too dirty in the first bashing session lol.

Thanks! I've got nothing compared to some of your builds though lol. The steering servo went while I was calibrating everything in my basement for the first time. I still haven't ordered anything because I can't decide if I want to take this car to the next level or leave it alone.

Every time I go to order a servo, I get looking at more and more upgrades and can't ever decide what to do.
