my summit wont move under load

I've researched the problem a bit but cant seem to find anyone with a definitive answer.

I have my summit with a Tekin RX8 motor/esc combo on it.

When I give it throttle on the ground it does move forward until I put a little resistance on it. For example if I nudge it up against a small curb, it will not go over that curb. It will however drive on the bare pavement with no problem.

It makes a squealing type sound when this is happening. I've checked the spur gear > pinion gear at that makes contact it seems without a problem.

    Any ideas?

I suggest tighten it until the spring is compressed, then loosen it so that there's just more than the thickness of paper between the coils.

I should add though that the slipper is probably toast if it just spins already, especially with a brushless cranking on it! Most likely need a new set of pads or the whole thing (not pricey) let us know how it goes!

Fixed it, thanks guys! Now I have to try and figure out how to program the ESX for this Tekin so it doesn't have so much punch, this thing takes off so quickly!
