Hey guys this is my first complete build, let me know what you think, this is what I started with,[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]Nearly complete front end with the ****** piggy-back shocks.[IMG][/IMG]The FLM drive cup that came in the package had a 8mm bore, so I had to weld up the bore in a traxxas cup and re-drill to fit the 5mm out drive shaft of the diff...[IMG][/IMG]

The FLM parts fit really well together...and look good against the black and blue.[IMG][/IMG]Transmission with deanodized motor plate installed...[IMG][/IMG]Complete rear end with RPM tru-trac...had some trouble with the aluminum ball caps wanting to cross thread...but they ended up ok...lol[IMG][/IMG]

Looking good! In case your wondering you can get drive cups from UE with 5mm bore. Nice stuff. Thats what I did on mine. then ground end a bit to fit oring. Had same trouble with ball retainers they can be tough to get in straight. Nice looking build.

Front and rear bulkheads mounted...the FLM center driveshafts have a really good fit...[IMG][/IMG]The skids from FLM fit great too...[IMG][/IMG]At this point I have almost evrything together, still trying to decide how to mount the antenna, the way the FLM mount is made, the best I can tell you have to run the antenna under the chassis and I don't really want to do that...I'll come up with something...lol[IMG][/IMG]

Nice one mate. Came together nicely. The FLM RPM combo will result in a nice tough truck. Sure you will look to go the single servo route soon too, makes for a nice upgrade.

She's looking epic man.... big thanks for posting this up... it was the kick start I needed to get started on my FLM build, which I started last night before the missus got home... managed to get the whole front end put together... STOKED!!
Been really nervous about it as there is no " How To" instructions on the web, and I'm relatively new to all this... but been working on and running my TT MT4 G3 the last couple months, and its built up my confidence in being able to take this build on... your post was the last kick in the backside I needed to get going...

So front end built, diff shimmed etc... hoping to get it all done as far as I can with the parts I have by the weekend, then put in an order for the rest of the bits and pieces I need, and have her running by Xmas...

I'm hoping mine ends up looking as clean as yours...

Thanks Bandit... I have already benfitted so much from all the welth of knowledge, info and help on here... definitely would not have even begun attempting it without the knowledge in the back of my mind that if things go pear shaped, I can come on here and get it fixed!! :-)

Quick question, what weight diff fluid are you running in your diffs? I have 30,000, 60,000 and 200,000 on hand cause thats what I used on my MT4 ( 60k upfront, 200k centre, and 30 k rear ) but wonmdering if I should go alot thinner on this build? ANy advice?

I have 100K in there now, and switching to 500k soon. I like stiff diffs in the emaxx, works a lot better in the sand/gravel pits.

Truck looks great, I was trying to paint a similiar scheme as that on my top kick body, yours came out great.

I see you bought ue and flm shock towers..I did the same. The ue ones have to be shaved a little to fit and they require the round body post but I guess you figured all that out. Nice build, it should take a beating. I used these to eliminate ballooning and they do:

I've not had the ue towers mounted yet ...I've been working on getting 8 ofna lx2 16mm shocks mounted...pics to come...and I got my antenna mounted to suit me now too......still have only ran it in the garage, has not seen daylight yet.

Looks good. New body looks great and the battery straps look good also Im sure you wil be much happier with those Ofna shocks.

rc, the shocks are ofna lx2, and the adapters are traxxas blue 17mm that have been deanodized.

Hey guys, swapped shocks again, got a set of 8 supershocks from UE, I've only ran it one time on 'em but they seem to be the best I've tried, probably gonna stick with these.[IMG][/IMG]I also swapped spur gears, I had always ran a traxxas 68t with a 20t pinion, now I'm runnin' a Robinson racing GEN3 slipper, 65t with 22t pinion, it really has brought this thing to life on 4S, huge difference...[IMG][/IMG]
